Aurora Compean Rosas

Aurora Compean Rosas, beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, in Sealy, Texas, at the age of 80. Born on December 29, 1944, in Edinburg, Texas, Aurora lived a life filled with love, compassion, and culinary delights, leaving an incredible mark on all who knew her.

Aurora cherished her family deeply; her greatest joy was nurturing and supporting her loved ones throughout her life. In 1979, she married Sergio Rosas, sharing a rich and vibrant 45-year partnership until his passing, which has left a profound absence in the hearts of those who remain. Aurora's loving spirit was evident in her relationships with her children and extended family, as she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her loving children: Daniel Compean (Roselia), Audrey Chavez (Alfonso Chavez), Annie Ayala (Ray Ayala), Robert Flores (Carol Lee Revels Flores), Lydia Dennis (Randy Dennis), Alex Flores (Kristi Flores), Priscilla Lunsford (Marc Gonzalez).Her grandchildren: Maria Luisa Chavez, Adrian Chavez, Joshua Flores, Rickie Lee Acosta-Truong, Toni Ayala, Ray Ayala, Jr, Nicolas Ayala, Steven Compean, Cassandra Compean, Jeffrey Compean, Christopher Garcia, Robert Flores, Jr., Tara Lynn Garza, John Anthony Flores, Felicia Flores, Pedro Flores, Natasha Dennis, Reno Dominguez, Ashley Flores, Megan Flores McGrew, Damien Gonzalez. As well as her great-grandchildren: Audrey Grace, Luca, Adel, Adriana, Adante, Draven, Jaylee, Xander, Evey, Christiana, Eliyanna, Henry, Ren, Chidera, Kataleya, Christopher Jr., Christevahn, Crys’lei, Makenzie, Oakley, Azalea, Theodore, Harrison, Delaney and her brother Peter Compean (Mercy Compean).

She is proceeded in death by both her parents, Pedro and Aurora Davila Compean, her loving husband of 45 years, Sergio Rosas, her brothers: Ramiro Compean, Felix Compean, and Alberto Compean, her sisters: Angelita Pina, Juanita Salazar, Maria Luisa Gonzalez and her grandchildren, Eric Anthony Chavez and Amanda Lee Flores, as well as her great granddaughter, Corrine Marie Palomarez.

Aurora's memory will live on by those who cherished her the most.
