Beverly Remmert was born on September 6, 1928, at her parents’ home in Bellville, Texas, and passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 96.
She was the daughter of Gus and Ella (Warmke) Riniker. Beverly was baptized on December 29, 1929, and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville on April 18, 1943.
She graduated from Bellville High School in 1947 and from Sam Houston State University in 1950.
Beverly was united in marriage to Floyd Remmert at St. John Lutheran Church on May 27, 1950. They lived all their married life in Bellville except for the time when Floyd was called back into the service during the Korean War.
She was a homemaker, and her family was the joy and love of her life. She worked for the Bellville Independent School District for several years. She was a member of the Austin County Retired Teachers Association.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling and made wonderful trips together with dear friends. Beverly was an avid reader and enjoyed playing dominoes and cards.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, her parents, a brother, Guss and his wife, Ora Dell, a niece, Donna Riniker, and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Morris and Pat Remmert.
She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Staskus and her husband, Charles, of Sugar Land, and Tina Hollis and her husband, Michael, of Bellville; grandchildren, Tiffany Shields and her husband, Gage, of Richmond, Laura Hopkins and her husband, Nathan, of Richmond, Ryan Staskus and his wife, Anna Laurel, of Katy, Layton Hollis and his wife, Shawna, of Brenham, and Chad Hollis of Bellville; great-grandchildren, Greyson and Gavin Shields, Owen and Samantha Hopkins, and Cloteil, Quinn, and Hugh Staskus; other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Layton Hollis, Chad Hollis, Ryan Staskus, Gage Shields, Nathan Hopkins, and Glenn Remmert.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. John Lutheran Church, 520 North Holland, Bellville, Texas 77418, or to the American Cancer Society, Inc., South Region, c/o Yesica Frano, 2500 Fondren Road, Suite 100, Houston, Texas 77063.
