Billie Elaine Boyd, 82, of Montgomery, Texas, went to be with her Beloved Lord and Savior on January 8, 2026. She was born in Galveston, Texas, on August 14, 1943, to Alta La Frances Hicks and William Lewis Hicks. Elaine grew up in Bellville, Texas, where she learned to play the piano, and graduated from Bellville High School in the celebrated class of 1961. She attended Durham's Business College in Austin, later becoming the First Baptist Church of Bellville's first church secretary. She also worked in the medical field and the restaurant business.
Elaine was a member of the Benui Baptist church in Montgomery, where her son, John, is pastor. Having been a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she received great joy from her family, fur babies, gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, birdwatching, and the beauty of nature in general. What thrilled her most late, however, was the anticipation of the arrival of her first great-granddaughter this coming June.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles Boyd. She is survived by her sons, John Lockwood and wife, Jesse, of Montgomery; Waco Boyd of Dripping Springs; Shane Boyd of Luling; grandsons, Jeremy Lockwood and wife, Courtney, of Montgomery and Laramy Boyd; and granddaughter, Abbigail Rose Cook of Montgomery; sister, Janis Richter and husband, John, of Georgetown; nephews, Steve Richter and wife, Kat, of Pflugerville; Scott Richter and wife, Michelle, of Liberty Hill; and grandnephew, Jaxon Richter, and grandniece, Bailey Richter; and numerous cousins, each dear to her.
Our acute, present grief is tempered by our hope, anchored in the Lord Jesus Christ, and we deeply thank you for your prayers.
