Brian Dean Krause passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the age of 65.

Brian was born on May 25, 1961, to Otto and Dorothy Krause, the third of their sons. He was raised in Bellville, Texas, and graduated from Bellville High School, where he ran track and played football.

Brian was a hardworking man who spent more than 20 years working for Bellville Tube, which later became U.S. Steel.

Brian was happiest outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working in his yard, and simply spending time outside. He had a lifelong fascination with storms and especially enjoyed seeing their aftermath. Brian also had a special love for animals and always enjoyed having them around.

He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys. He was also incredibly creative and always seemed to be building, crafting, or coming up with something unique.

Brian shared 35 years of marriage with his wife, Beth. Together, they raised their family and enjoyed spending time at local favorites, including Crossroads Tavern and the Kenney Store. One of their most cherished memories was a trip to Big Bend they took together shortly before Beth’s passing.

For the last years of his life, Brian shared a loving relationship with his girlfriend, Vivian “Vickie” Powell. Vickie brought companionship, happiness, and love into Brian’s life and remained by his side through some of his most difficult days. Her love, care, and devotion to Brian meant more to him and his family than words can express, and she became a very special part of his life and family.

Above all else, Brian loved his family. His children and grandchildren were among the greatest joys of his life. After being diagnosed with cancer, one of Brian’s greatest wishes was to live long enough to welcome his youngest granddaughter, Charlotte, into the world—a wish he was blessed to see fulfilled.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lauren Krause; uncle, Earl Schwenke; uncle, Wilbert Krause; father, Otto Krause; and wife, Beth Krause.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Krause; his daughter, Amy Woodall, her husband, Derek, and their children, Skylar and Weston; his son, Justin Krause; his son, Tanner Krause, his wife, Ashleigh, and their son, Case; and his daughter, Courtney Curnel, her husband, Christian, and their daughter, Charlotte.

He is also survived by his brothers, Keith Krause and Darlene Loesch, Owen Krause and Buffie McLendon, and Lenny and Debbie Krause; his niece, Kendra Parker, her husband, Bertram, and their daughter, Kinley; his aunt and uncle, Alan and Virgie Mae Wienecke; his aunts Sandra Schwenke and Esther Krause; his loving girlfriend, Vivian “Vickie” Powell.

Brian will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his creativity, his love of the outdoors and animals, and, most of all, the love he had for his family. His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, friends, and the many stories and memories they will continue to share.

He will be deeply loved and forever missed.
