Brittyne Michelle Wilson

Brittyne Michelle Wilson, born on June 5, 1978, in Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, in Katy, Texas. With a contagious spirit and a joyful presence, Brittyne was someone who brightened the lives of all who had the privilege to know her.

From her early days in Katy, Texas, Brittyne cultivated a passion for creativity and activity. She was an avid artist, finding solace and expression through drawing. Music also held a special place in her heart, offering moments of connection and exhilaration that she cherished throughout her life.

Brittyne’s warmth and enthusiasm were hallmarks of her personality. She was truly a joy to be around, radiating positivity and kindness that left a lasting impression on friends and family alike.

She is survived by her beloved mother, Shirley Wilson, who provided unwavering support and love. Her son, Michael Peterson, carries forward her legacy with pride and love. Brittyne was also cherished by her sisters—Chandra Murray and her husband James, Courtney Mahaffey and her husband Chad, and Jordan Cleri and her husband Cory, who all shared in the joys and challenges of life alongside her. She was a doting aunt to her nieces, Madison Murray, Darian Lane and Tyler Mahaffey, as well as her nephews, Kaleb Murray, Blake Mahaffey, Cadence Cleri, each of whom benefited from her affection and encouragement.

Brittyne was preceded in death by her father, Michael Wilson, whose memory she held dear.

Through her passions, her relationships, and the vibrant energy she shared, Brittyne Michelle Wilson leaves behind a legacy of love and light. Her presence will be profoundly missed, yet fondly remembered by all who knew her.
