Catherine Bajew

March 28, 1961 — June 10, 2025

Brookshire

Catherine Bajew passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of June 10th, 2025, having been surrounded by love, prayer, and the presence of her family in the days prior.

She is survived by her brothers, Andre Bajew (Teresa) and Nicholas Bajew (Diane), who loved her as only big brothers can. Cathy was a deeply loved aunt of Daniel Bajew, Brian Bajew (Jennifer), Lance Hartman (Jennifer), Tyler Hartman, Allie Mack (Conor), and Elizabeth Parker (Matt) and a great-aunt to her niece and nephews - Khloie, Hayden, Hunter, Colt, Brooks, Case, Bennet, each of whom brought such light to her life.

She was preceded in death by her dear parents and her nephew, Andrew Bajew, whose absence weighed heavily on her heart. Even through her deep sorrow, Catherine walked with quiet strength and grace. Cathy's life was a reflection of beauty and creativity. She loved crafting, floral arranging, and in her younger days, expressing herself through spontaneous home projects. More than once, she “surprised” her family by painting rooms in the house while we were away, always in colors she loved (whether we did or not). Her care and joy in creating beauty were signature parts of who she was.

She was a devoted sister, a loving aunt, and a loyal friend - but most of all, she was a beloved daughter of God. Though her earthly journey has ended, we take comfort in the promise of Christ: that death is not the end. Her suffering is over, and she is now whole and at peace, reunited with loved ones, especially her mom, whom she missed dearly.

Cathy's memory will live on in the stories we tell, the laughs and tears that are to come, the quiet strength she shared, and the love she freely gave. Her life reminds us to be kind, to hold family close, to remember that every moment is a gift, and to live with a hope that points toward eternity.
