Curtis Allen Ford Jr. of Bellville, Texas passed away in a car accident on April 20, 2026. A memorial service will be held at Allee Ranch 6106 Waak Rd. Bellville Texas 77418 on May 9 from 11-1.
Born in Como, Mississippi on August 11, 1957, Curtis grew up on a farm with his parents and four siblings. He moved to Texas and never left. Curtis began his insulation career at the age of 18 working with Campbell Insulation, as part of the local 22. From there, he worked with Brown & Root and then Stonaber. In 1985, he began working for Tecon Services, the company he has owned since 2006. Curtis was well known in his field for his negotiating skills and work ethic. If he said he could get something done, you could rest assured it would be done. Somehow, he was always available to his employees, customers and family – a trait he will be remembered for.
Away from work, he was a devoted family man who cherished his wife Michelle, his 2 beautiful daughters and 6 grandchildren. His dedication to his family was unmatched. Curtis cherished every moment he had with his children and grandchildren. He instilled a deep love for family and time spent together. Curtis spent every spare moment watching his grandchildren in various activities and his presence will be greatly missed by all. Curtis loved to work at his ranch and care for the many animals he owned. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing; and more than that, he loved to share these things with the people he loved. Along with his love for the outdoors and animals, he was an avid Astros fan. His love and devotion to the Astros was contagious to everyone he was around.
Curtis believed deeply in God and the importance of church. He was a purposeful, persistent and principled man who believed in God, family and working hard.
Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Rosilee. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Michelle, his children Amanda and her husband Bobby and Amie and her husband Luke and his six grandchildren, Addilynn Rose, Luke David, Emily Jeanette, Linley Rose, Elliott Ford and Elise Marie.
Curtis will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his wonderful gift of friendship, his legendary generosity and his joyful spirit. All who knew him loved him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to CCA – Prairie chapter or BeABlake Foundation.
