Elodia wore many hats throughout her life, predominantly embracing the role of a devoted housewife. Her legacy extends beyond her home and into the hearts of her family, as she dedicated herself to raising her children and nurturing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She often spoke of her proudest accomplishments being her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—a testament to her deep love and commitment to her family.
With a personality that radiated love and warmth, Elodia created an inviting atmosphere for all who entered her life. Her hobbies included dancing and Zumba, where she would often bring a smile to others with her vibrant energy. Elodia leaves behind her loving husband, Jose Vazquez, and is survived by her cherished children, Joe (Pamela) Vasquez, Gerardo (Cristina) Vazquez, and Veronica (Emilio) Torres. She also adored her grandchildren: Monica, Marissa, Madelyn, Trenton, Kathy, Kailey, Kamilla, Emilio Jr., Cruz, Elizabeth, and Jose Emilio, whose lives she profoundly impacted with her love and guidance.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fernando and Benilde Rivera, and her brothers, Fernando Rivera Jr. and Baldomero Rivera. They welcomed her with open arms into their eternal resting place.
