James Robert-Daigle LeVassar, a devoted father, talented craftsman, dedicated subsea technician/superintendent passed away suddenly on May 18, 2025, in Fredericksburg, Texas. He was born on June 1, 1979, in San Antonio, Texas, and spent his life devoted to his children, family, and passions.
James's career in the oil field as a sub sea technician underscored his commitment to his profession and his aptitude for complex challenges. Yet, beyond his professional accomplishments, James was an individual whose creativity and dedication flourished in his personal pursuits. He found a deep love for bow hunting, hunting pigs and deer, knife making, woodworking, and making jewelry. While the list could continue to go on as he was a man with many talents, these are a few that he enjoyed the most. These hobbies were not merely pastimes for James; they were expressions of his artistry and an outlet for his enthusiasm for nature, craftsmanship, and being a hardworking cowboy.
He leaves behind his beloved children: Cody LeVassar and his spouse Carly, Cassie LeVassar, and Aaliyah LeVassar as well as his stepchildren Tiffane Harris, Jon Harris, and Santiago Fonseca who all will forever keep their memory alive. James was also a proud grandfather to his grandchildren Emma, Everly, and Bellamy, whose lives he touched with love, guidance, and laughs. Words could not express how proud he was of each and every one of them as he made sure to remind them on a daily. His parents, Jay LeVassar and Theresa Ledsinger, and his brother Jayce LeVassar cherish many memories of his warm crazy spirit and adventurous life. When it came to his family, as he would always say, “mess around and find out”.
James’s funeral services will be held on May 29, 2025, starting with a visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Schmidt Funeral Home in Brookshire, TX. He will be laid to rest at 1861 Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville, TX, during an interment from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
James LeVassar will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for his love of family and being a bad mamma jamma. His legacy of passion, creativity, and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him while he parties in heaven with those who have long since passed.
