Jesse Lee Stovall, a devoted family man and lifelong hard worker, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, in Bellville, Texas, at the age of 83. Born on September 10, 1941, in Ferris, Texas, Jesse embodied resilience, strength, and quiet wisdom throughout his life.
Jesse dedicated 43 years of his life to Brown and Root, where his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment left a lasting impression. Known for his dedication and integrity, he took pride in a job well done and earned the respect of all who worked alongside him.
Above all, Jesse’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharron Gentry, with whom he shared 61 beautiful years of marriage. Their bond was one of enduring love, mutual respect, and partnership.
He is also survived by his two sons, Bryan Stovall and wife Danita of Colleyville; Blake Stovall and wife Christy of Bellville. His grandchildren: Brett Bright, Bray Stovall, and Brooke Stovall, who brought immense joy to his life, and his great-grandchild, Kaydyn Bright. His brother-in-law Jimmy Don Gentry and wife Sandy of Baytown, sisters-in-laws: Anna Lou Stovall of Waxahachie, Judy Frazier and her husband Joe of Kerrville. Nieces: Kim Roessing and her husband Ross of Marion. Jenna Bernhard and her husband Chad of Austin. Linda, Sharon, Michelle, and Karrie of Waxahachie. Nephews: Mike Stovall, Brent Stovall, Toby Stovall, and Bill Stovall of Waxahachie. Chris Gentry of Baytown, Kevin Johnson of Kerrville.
Jesse will be fondly remembered by all who knew him as a man of kindness and quiet strength. He leaves behind a legacy built on love and hard work.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse William Stovall and Rosa Mae Cox Stovall; his brothers, Troy Stovall and Travis Stovall; and his sister-in-law, Sue Stovall.
Though his journey has come to an end, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
