José Inés Gaytan, un devoto hombre de familia y técnico experto, nació el 21 de enero de 1960 en San Luis Potosí, México. Se fue de esta vida el 24 de enero de 2026, en Katy, Texas, dejando un legado enriquecido por su amor por la familia, el trabajo y la pasión por la vida.
Habiéndose criado en Monterrey, México, José llevaba con él los valores del trabajo duro y la dedicación. En busca de una vida mejor y para criar a su familia, se mudó a Sealy, Texas, donde se convirtió en técnico de mantenimiento en Igloo. Allí, abrazó su oficio con gran pasión, perfeccionó sus habilidades mecánicas y se enorgulleció de construir y ajardinar su propia casa, un logro que destacó su compromiso de mantener a sus seres queridos.
El 28 de diciembre de 1985, José se casó con su amada esposa Elva Díaz Galván en Monterrey, México, sellando un vínculo que resistiría la prueba del tiempo y enriquecería sus vidas con alegría y compañía. Juntos, navegaron por las estaciones de la vida, alimentando una familia que prosperaba en el respeto mutuo, el amor y los logros compartidos.
José fue el orgulloso padre de tres hijos: José Domingo Gaytan (Angela) de Katy, Karina Liset Gaytan (Francisco Osornio) de Sealy y Krystal Nataly Gaytan (Jacob Ramírez) de Sealy. Jose Ines Gaytan, a devoted family man and skilled technician, was born on January 21, 1960, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He departed this life on January 24, 2026, in Katy, Texas, leaving behind a legacy enriched by his love for family, work, and passion for life.
Having been raised in Monterrey, Mexico, Jose carried with him the values of hard work and dedication. In pursuit of a better life and to raise his family, he moved to Sealy, Texas, where he became a maintenance technician at Igloo. There, he embraced his craft with great passion, honed his mechanical skills, and took pride in building and landscaping his own home, an accomplishment that highlighted his commitment to providing for his loved ones.
On December 28, 1985, Jose married his beloved wife in Monterrey, Mexico, sealing a bond that would stand the test of time and enrich their lives with joy and companionship. Together, they navigated the seasons of life, nurturing a family that thrived on mutual respect, love, and shared accomplishments.
Jose was the proud father of three children: Jose Domingo Gaytan (Angela) of Katy, Karina Liset Gaytan (Francisco Osornio) of Sealy, and Krystal Nataly Gaytan (Jacob Ramirez) of Sealy. He found immense joy in being a grandfather to Niko Osornio, Azrael Ramirez, Daniella Gaytan, and Adrian Gaytan. His spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family as they carry forward the values he instilled in them.
Jose is survived by his wife Elva Gaytan, mother, Gabriela Gaytan, brothers Juan, Roberto, and Jose Gaytan, as well as sisters Barbara and Graciela. Each held a special place in his heart, and their bonds were woven through shared memories and familial love.
While his father, Domingo, and sister, Cenobia, have preceded him in death, Jose’s enduring spirit and cherished memories linger on with his family and friends. He found joy in music and soccer, reveling in maintaining and upgrading the slice of heaven he called home.
Jose will be honored with visitation at Schmidt Funeral Home in Brookshire on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Rosary from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The celebration of his life will culminate with a Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in South Frydek on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM, followed by his burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sealy.
In this chapter of life that marks his passing, we remember Jose Ines Gaytan not only for his craftsmanship and love of family but also for the joy he brought to those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will forever shine brightly in the lives he touched.
