Darlene Divin was born October 31, 1955 to Henry Lee Frazier and JoAnn Landry. She was welcomed to her eternal home on May 27, 2025 after a short, but hard-fought battle with cancer.
Remaining to cherish Darlene’s memory are her husband of 39 years, who lovingly called her “My Baby,” Royce L. Divin, Sr.; daughter, Bebo Wishert and husband Clint; her sons, Joe E. Bobbitt and wife Dana; Royce L. Divin, Jr; proud Meme to Lacie and Chance Bogan, Asher Wishert, and McKayla, Weston and Morgan Bobbitt; mother, JoAnn Landry and step-father John; Step-mother, Carolyn Frazier; sisters, Elaine Frazier and Janet Schroeder; brothers, Micheal Frazier and wife Pauline, Daniel “Dinky” Frazier and wife Tina, and Mitchel Frazier; sister-in-law, Anice Divin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a cherished group of close friends.
Preceding Darlene in death are her daughters, Michelle and Shelly; granddaughter, Brynlie Hope Wishert; father, Henry Lee Frazier; father-in-law, W.J. Divin; mother-in-law Elsie Divin; sister-in-law, Sherrie Frazier and Judy Divin; brother-in-law, Edwin “Bubba” Divin and Marvin Divin.
Royce and Darlene owned and operated Tri-Co Sand & Services, Inc. for many years. Darlene kept late hours and early morning in the office with her coffee and Saratogas. Darlene worked hard, but loved even harder, extending her love to friends who became like family. She was the host of many impromptu late-night food runs, wreck chasing, hang outs and adventures with her kids and friends. Darlene made sure that every friend who walked through the door knew they were welcome and were in for laughs and lots of stories. There was never a dull moment with Darlene.
Meme always enjoyed her time with the grandkids, even though she wasn’t at many of the events, she loved the kids fiercely. She loved her grandbabies to sit in her recliner with her while watching TV. Meme loved taking the kids to the movie theatre and late-night runs to the store.
Darlene had an affinity for animals. From cats, turtles, parrots, an Oscar fish, from Tea Cup Chihuahuas to Boxers, you could never be sure what kind of animal she might bring home next.
Most importantly, Darlene loved her family. Because of Darlene’s unique soul you will never meet another person quiet like her. It wasn’t uncommon for a visitor to randomly swing by to find Royce and Darlene, or Darlene and all of the kids, or everyone all together playing rummikub or 42. There was so much laughter and competition – Darlene kept a log book of her games and victories.
We will always remember her no filter, spit fire attitude, but most of all how she loved us and made this world a better place.
