Mary C Marquez

Mary Casas Marquez, born November 30, 1949, in Graje, Borbon, Cebu, Philippines, passed away on October 22, 2026, at the age of 76.

Mary was a woman of remarkable strength, intelligence, kindness, and generosity. The backbone of her family and a natural caretaker, she devoted much of her life to supporting and caring for those around her. She was deeply loved and respected for her unwavering loyalty, straightforward honesty, and sharp, witty, often delightfully acerbic sense of humor.

She had a passion for travel, gardening, and bringing people together. Mary loved entertaining, and her gatherings were filled with abundant food, music, singing, dancing, and laughter. She especially treasured time with her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as quiet days spent fishing with her beloved husband, Florante C. Marquez, who preceded her in death.

Mary's greatest legacy is the love she shared, the strength she inspired, and the countless lives she touched. She is survived by her six children, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many cherished family members and friends.

She will be remembered for her generous heart, her candid spirit, her infectious love of life, and the way she made those around her stronger simply by being part of their lives.

Her love, laughter, and strength will live on in all who knew her.
