Bellville

Peggy Lou (Sanders) McDaniel, a beloved figure known for her kindness and dedication, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, in Bellville, Texas, at the age of 89. Born on August 27, 1935, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Peggy's life was defined by her unwavering love for her family and her commitment to her work.

Peggy spent her days as a highly appreciated sales associate for Walmart, where she made many friends and left a lasting impact on those she worked alongside. Her professionalism was complemented by her cheerful demeanor and willingness to help others. Education was important to her, and she attended Tanglewood High School, where she received her GED—a testament to her determination and hard work.

Family was the cornerstone of Peggy’s life. She is survived by her loving son, Charlie McDaniel, and his wife, Lori, of Bellville; her daughter, Mary Carlson, and her husband, David, of Bellville; and her daughter, Nora Bishop, of Sealy. Her spirit lives on through her grandchildren: Charles McDaniel, Jr., Joshua McDaniel, Michelle Witt, Michelle Jack, Jennifer Warden, Leroy Roberson, Amber Roberson, and Tiffany Roberson; as well as numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who were cherished by her.

Peggy shared her life with her late husband, Samuel "Sam" McDaniel, an honored Marine Veteran, who played a pivotal role in shaping her values of service and commitment. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Leola, her daughter, Vicky Minor, and her brothers, Al Sanders, Benny Sanders, and Baxter Sanders.

In her free time, Peggy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; watching western films, listening to music—especially The Gaithers—and, most of all, spending precious moments with her family, which brought her immense joy. She found comfort in those connections, fostering relationships that spanned generations. Special mention goes to Aunt Linda Sanders, who also holds a significant place in the hearts of the family.

Peggy Lou (Sanders) McDaniel will be remembered for her warm spirit, unwavering support for her loved ones, and the light she brought into the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
