Roland R. Reynolds, a cherished pillar of his community and beloved family man, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Katy, Texas. He was 88 years old.
He was born on March 12, 1937, in Tampa, Florida, the son of George and Ella Mae (Taylor) Reynolds. Roland grew up in Tampa and attended Jefferson Sr. High School.
He married Margie Ann Quinters on June 5, 1957, in Houston, Texas, at the Holy Name Catholic Church. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising five boys and creating lasting memories, until her passing in 2024. Roland cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, nurturing his family with love and guidance. He was a firm believer in hard work.
He served with honor in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1975, achieving the rank of E-6, Technical Sergeant. He and his family traveled to many parts of the world while he was in the Air Force. He retired at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, LA. He was a very proud Veteran and cherished the time he served our country. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for the JCPenney Department store chain in Bossier City, Louisiana. The family moved to Texas and settled in Bleiblerville to be closer to family. He was employed as a Ranch Maintenance Foreman for the Scattered Oaks Ranch in Bleiblerville. Later, Roland devoted a significant part of his life to his career by owning and operating R&W RV Service Center, where he offered his expertise and dedication over the years until his retirement from the business.
He was a devout catholic and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Industry. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Fraternal Service Organization. He also served as an Eucharist Minister, Greeter, and CCE/VBS Teacher for many years. He is remembered for his zest for life, enjoying a variety of hobbies that included hunting, fishing, woodworking, golf, camping, and playing cards, especially Gin Rummy. In the early years, Roland and Margie loved to bowl on their bowling teams and ride motorcycles. Among his simple pleasures, he had a fondness for A&W Root Beer, which always brought a smile to his face and joy to those around him.
Roland's legacy continues through his sons, Kenny (Mary) Reynolds of Bellville, Mark (Cheryl) Reynolds of Bellville, David (Susan) Reynolds of Wimberley, and Michael (Donna) Reynolds of Katy. He also leaves behind a proud lineage of grandchildren: Kristen (Ryan) Thomason of Victoria, Kyle Reynolds of Palmer, AK, Jessica Reynolds of Monroe, NC, Dustin (Melissa) Reynolds of Robstown, Timmy Reynolds of Port Huron, MI, Richard Reynolds of Port Huron, MI, Patrick Reynolds of Port Huron, MI, Justin (Ashlynn) Reynolds of Bellville, Mallory Reynolds of Katy, and Presley Reynolds of Katy, along with nineteen great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, numerous countless nieces, nephews, cousins and VERY SPECIAL friends who he shared Golf time with on the course and to those, who he would set with for hours in deep spiritual conversations who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. Roland joins in eternal peace with his wife, Margie Reynolds; his son, Timothy Reynolds; his parents, George and Ella Mae (Taylor) Reynolds; his brother, Arnold Randolf Reynolds; his sister, Colleen Simpson; his sister, Frances Norman; and his sister, Betty Hyde.
Family and friends are invited to honor Roland's memory during the following services held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, located at 15994 TX Hwy. 159 West, Industry, Texas. Visitation will take place on December 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by the Vigil service 6:00 – 6:30 PM and the Rosary at 6:30 PM. A Mass in celebration of his life will be held on December 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, concluding with a final farewell from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
Pallbearers are Dustin Reynolds, Justin Reynolds, Ryan Thomason, Marvin Jackson, Mike Jackson, and Eddie Malinowski. Honorary Pallbearers are Kristen Thomason, Kyle Reynolds, Jessica Reynolds, Timmy Reynolds, Richard Reynolds, Patrick Reynolds, Mallory Reynolds, Presley Reynolds, Andy Ho, Ed Reber, Fred and Wava Jackson, Craig Jackson, Bernie Stephan, Bruce and Cindy Pilcik, Travis Duve, John Allee, and Star of Texas Hospice. Roland R. Reynolds will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege to know him. His spirit will continue to shine brightly through the countless lives he touched.
