After graduating from Katy High School, Roy embarked on a diverse career as a welder, electrician, painter, truck driver, and carpenter. He was a natural salesman and artist who generously offered his skills to a variety of projects throughout his lifetime. Later, he joined Royal Independent School District where he served not only as a bus driver but also as a trusted member of the maintenance and transportation team.
