In Loving Memory of Steven Dean Guy

Steven Dean Guy, a respected business owner, devoted family man, and unforgettable presence in the lives of many, passed away on November 4, 2025, in Katy, Texas, at the age of 65. Born on May 30, 1960, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Steven was known for his larger-than-life personality and his rare gift of never meeting a stranger. Whether you were his best friend or someone he’d just met, Steven had a way of making you feel like you were an old friend.

A man of deep Catholic faith, Steven lived with conviction and compassion. His beliefs guided his every decision, and he found joy in sharing that faith with his family and community. He was a strong and loving man, deeply devoted to his wife, children, stepchildren, and grandchildren. Steven poured his heart into the life he and Kathryn created, and he took profound pride in the family, home, and legacy they built side by side.

Steven spent most of his career in the oil and gas industry, specializing in origination and sales, yet his entrepreneurial spirit never rested. In the last 5 years, he founded an internet services company to bring affordable, reliable connectivity to a community with few options; driven not by profit, but by a desire to serve and uplift others.

He leaves behind a powerful legacy through his loving family. Steven is survived by his cherished wife, Kathryn Guy, and his three children: Steven Guy Jr., Amanda James, and Nicholas Guy. He was also a proud stepfather to Shannon Binns, Michael Binns, and Patrick Binns. Steven shared a treasured relationship with his sister, Cindy Hagen, and his nephew, Macauley Chtay, whose presence brought light, laughter, and joy into his life. He was a devoted grandfather to nine grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Truett and Roberta Guy, who instilled in him the values of faith, family, and hard work that defined his life.
