Winston Joseph Guillory

Winston Joseph Guillory, born February 4, 1944, in Louisiana, passed away on April 30, 2026, in Katy, Texas. A man whose very presence was imbued with a warm spirit, Winston brought immeasurable joy to those privileged to know him. Throughout his life, he was the embodiment of family devotion—his heart beat strongest in the company of loved ones, and his days flowed with the rhythms of caring, connection, and faithful dedication.

Raised amidst the gentle landscapes of Louisiana, Winston carried the values and traditions of his upbringing into every chapter of his life. On October 3, 1970, he married Louise in Houston, Texas, embarking on a lifelong journey together that stood as a testament to enduring love and partnership. Their shared years were punctuated by laughter, unwavering support, and the building of a family that thrived under Winston’s gentle guidance.

Professionally, Winston lent his hands and skill to the demanding world of diesel mechanics, a career that reflected his steadfast work ethic and problem-solving nature. Yet beyond the workshop, his true passions blossomed in the open air — taking care of his beloved horse and longhorn, riding horses with a spirit of freedom and joy, and embracing each moment spent with family.

Survived by his cherished wife Louise Guillory; his son, Chris Guillory; his daughter, Kristy (Rusty) Lundegreen; and grandson Logan Guillory; Winston's legacy is carried forward in the hearts of his immediate family. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Charlene Dorsak, Tracy Fontenot, and Brenda (Allen) Heath, along with numerous nieces and nephews who were graced by his warmth and kindness. He was predeceased by his parents, Calvin and Mable Guillory, and his brothers, Donald and Kenneth Guillory.

In reflecting on Winston’s life, one is drawn to the enduring sense of peace and belonging he instilled in his family and friends. His footsteps may now have quieted, but the echoes of his kindness, his laughter beside the rolling pastures, and his unwavering warmth will forever trail like the gentle breeze through the fields he so loved. Winston Joseph Guillory’s life was a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and a spirit that soared free—an everlasting presence in the hearts of all who knew him.
